Arsenal progressed to the next round of the FA Cup with a hard earned win against Burnley on Saturday, as the Gunners welcomed back Francis Coquelin and Thomas Rosicky to first team action after long term injuries.

Arsenal continued their recent abysmal form against Chelsea with yet another defeat to the Blues on Sunday as the Gunners extended their run of league games without a win to three.

As with the game at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, this was a game that was largely decided by one moment of madness resulting in Arsenal being reduced to ten men inside the first half.

Stalemate at the Britannia

Arsenal returned to the top of the league on Sunday night with a hard fought 0-0 draw away to Stoke. However at the final whistle the Gunners once again couldn’t help feeling frustrated.

Arsene Wenger’s side have a terrible record at the Britannia stadium having only won there on one occasion in Premier League history.

Dropped points

Liverpool 3-3 Arsenal


Arsenal threw away two precious points on Wednesday night as Joe Allen scored a last minute goal to ensure an enthralling contest ended all square at 3-3.

It was an extremely frustrating end to the game for the Gunners, having twice come back from a goal down and then taken the lead.

Gunners go through

Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland



Arsenal reached the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday as they mounted their defence of the cup they had retained last May with a controlled win against Sunderland.

Arsene Wenger has a fine record in this competition, with no manager in the history of the game having won football’s oldest club competition on more occasions than the Frenchman.

Poor Gunners stay top

As in their previous game against Bournemouth, Arsenal once again performed poorly but still managed to take all three points to cement their place at the top of the table.

If anything this performance at home to Newcastle was even worse than that against Bournemouth.
